Kundalini Yoga is a practice of transformation. The kriyas (which is a set of exercises) are much more specific to a Hatha or Iyengar class where you may be focused on stretching and alignment. The kriyas are a specific set of exercises that create energy, organize that energy and deliver you to a specific energetic state — particularly one of greater awareness.

During our practice we can reach moments of stillness where we sit quietly and awaken to our True Self. The breathwork within the kriyas is so powerful that it starts to strip away the layers that veil our consciousness, and in the moments between the exercises we can sense the fullness of who we are. 

The kriyas work on strengthening your nervous system, balancing your glandular system, purifying your body and calming the mind.

Anyone and everyone can practice Kundalini Yoga, no matter how experienced or inexperienced you are.
