Yogi Bhajan (who brought Kundalini Yoga to the west) warned that the biggest challenge we would face in the Aquarian Age would be a Cold Depression. During these current times, we are constantly being bombarded and overloaded with information and stimulation. It’s a time of high-stress levels, massive change and the “go – go – go”, “do – do – do”, “busy, busy, busy” mentality of our modern world. The Cold Depression becomes an isolation, disconnection, and loneliness to your own soul.
When we feel disconnected and have no energy, we try to find something outside of ourselves to get a hit of energy. Yogi Bhajan called this, “The Silence of the Soul”.
